Weir Andrewson Associates was retained to provide a review to evaluate the technical merit of the previous consultant’s reports and to evaluate the proposed repairs to distinguish between design related issues and construction related issues.  W/A also provided evaluation of the impact of the proposed repairs on the University’s maintenance burden for the building as well as observation of further testing and inspection by the contractor’s expert consultant.

W/A staff met with the proposed repair work sub-contractor and discussed the proposed expected performance and limitations of the repairs, and also met with the manufacturer’s representative for the proposed repair materials and products to determine whether or not they are appropriate for the problems at this project, and evaluate their likely performance and limitations.
