.W/A provided technical consulting to the Cee/Pfau Collaborative in the area of waterproofing for the Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender Community Center. W/A selected systems and provided construction details for sub-grade waterproofing, an extensive and complex curtain wall system, elevated decks with both buried and surface applied membranes, sealants, stucco, and roofing. Detailing to accommodate the building’s complex geometry and incorporation of an adjacent historical Queen Anne building presented particular challenges.

The scope of WA’s services included systems evaluation, selection and detail design services for exterior waterproofing with regard to the new building exterior envelope waterproofing issues. Exterior waterproofing related detailing for the Bidding/Construction Documents was also provided by WA.  Construction administration services, including. shop drawings and submittal review, review of substitutions, RFI's.  A site visit was required at the beginning of work to establish a standard for the project, and periodic site visits ensured that the standards were being maintained.
