Investigation and Repair of Deterioration of

Structural Concrete and Seismic Improvements

Early in their career, Roy Andrewson and Paul Weir performed this investigation while employed by Interactive Resources. An evaluation of the key structural and architectural elements related to water penetration of Candlestick Park was implemented.  An estimation of repair costs was also developed based on the investigation.  Recommendations were based on a short term repair program which extended the life of the stadium an additional five years, and an additional estimate was developed for a longer term program to rehabilitate the facility.
