Forensic/Technical Architect We are seeking applicants for the position of Forensic Architect You will be directly reporting to one of the principals, the Forensic Architect is responsible for leading projects involving forensic investigations of building defects, preparing reports, remediation programs, trial preparation, and construction documents. In addition, this position requires an ability to coordinate work with Project Managers focused on multi-media and/or focused on construction management. Duties include performing analysis of construction defects; interacting with building owners, clients, and consultants; working as a consultant to architects and engineers on building envelope issues with building under design or existing structures; designing new and corrective work, preparing contract documents and overseeing construction; managing multiple projects including in-house staff and consultant teams of professionals, including coordination with clients, contractors, and municipal authorities; and performing cost estimating for new construction and rehabilitation work. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, can multi-task efficiently, possesses excellent communication skills, and who above all else, will help us continue to provide exceptional client service. Qualifications include being a licensed architect with at least eight years of experience in building science, environmental, or forensic investigations; experience with estimating, contract documents, specification, and change order negation; excellent communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office & Microsoft Project; proficiency with writing reports and proposals, developing and making technical (legal) presentations Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit will prove helpful.
